What is Freemasonry?

As per our ceremonies, freemasonary is a system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols.

It serves as a great network for all men of mature age (21 although 18 years can be considered), to socialise and learn together in harmony.

Our ceremonies are called degrees of which there are three: Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master mason. Each of these has a historic and fascinating ceremony which we hold according to degree in private, in one of our temples. The word temple is merely symbolic and has no religious connotation, therefore welcoming all faiths equally.

We traditionally have a festive board which is a meal at a restaurant or venue to also embrace the social aspect of our lives and fraternity. Many argue that this is one of the most important parts of Masonry as it is here we make friends and strengthen social relationships that last a lifetime.
